The Prostitution of American Blood
by Brother Larry
June 2002

Over the years, there have been a number of motions and rulings from Congress to provide amnesty to numerous illegal aliens. I know that this may be hard for some to digest, but I strongly feel that illegal aliens need to be deported in mass back to their respective countries. I believe this for a number of reasons, but let me begin by saying that I really wish that I could save the world. I wish that I could wave a magic wand and all the pain and suffering in the world would stop. But the fact is I cannot. When life's realities set in, I realize that I am just a person of limited resources. I can help, but I can't correct every wrong. And together, you and I make up a nation of limited resources that simply cannot correct every wrong.

But this is more than just an issue of limited resources. The real issue is this: you can't help people who are unwilling to help themselves. The old adage is just as much true in regards to illegal aliens as it is everyone else: government can take people out of the getto, but it can't always take the getto out of people.

When illegal immigrants come to this country, they know nothing about WHY we are prosperous, they only know that we are prosperous. They know nothing about freedom. They know nothing about the need of education to be successful. They know nothing about the games our politicians play. They know nothing of the perils of bureaucracy or the true cost behind free government services. (Of course, the same thing can be said from the millions of graduates from our public schools today, but that is a separate problem that needs to be addressed.) All they know is that there is money to be made here.

As a result, they come here to enjoy all the fruits that freedom has to offer, but give nothing to the process that has resulted in those fruits.

I especially make this case when it comes to voting. (Now I understand that legally they can't vote, but we know in the past that dead people have cast their votes, so why not illegal immigrants also?) At a minimum, they will be able to influence the way their legal friends and relatives will vote. But will these people who do vote do so intelligently and with the right motivations?

Our congress has set quotas that theoretically represent the number of citizens that this country can reasonably absorb each year. It is a way of allowing new citizens to have all the rights afforded to citizens of this country yet limit the number of people who could cancel out the educated vote. It allows this country to stay on course with prosperity because we retain the principles that have resulted in that prosperity.

When citizens legally come into this country, they are required to complete a number of classes that educate these people on the principles of our country. They are taught that the freedoms that we enjoy today did not spring up overnight. We had to fight for this freedom. And sometimes we had to die for it too. It is through this freedom that we enjoy prosperity.

They also learn -- if they are taught accurately -- that a sovereign and just God has played a crucial role in the birth of this nation. As Patrick Henry put it, "millions of people, armed in the holy cause of libertyare invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us. Besides, sir, we shall not fight our battles alone. There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations; and He will raise up friends to fight our battles for us."

But for the illegals, there is no such education. They only know that they can find work here, though usually off the books as well as off the tax roles.

This nation has always prided itself in being a melting pot. When immigrants from other nations invade our lands in untold numbers, we become a boiling pot instead. Without knowing so much as our language, let alone the principles that our country is founded on, they become a nation to themselves. Eventually, they even become a powerful voting block that cancels out many an educated vote.

I know that the pressure is there for self-interested politicians to open the floodgates to illegal immigration. Al Gore granted citizenship to many immigrants without proper background checks, even allowing known criminals to enter. In doing so, the Democratic Party appears to be the "Savior" to all these people as well as to their friends and relatives. This is because illegals -- or shall we call them ignorants -- are more likely to support a candidate that gives them lots of free stuff, which of course the politicians are more than willing to provide, at the hard-working taxpayer's expense.

There is something very wrong when legal taxpaying hard-working citizens end up paying for the illegals. Our public schools are not the kind to turn anyone away. (That would be just too cruel!) Instead, we reward the illegal activities of the few by providing their children with an education for which they do not contribute financially. The schools themselves --or rather the administrators of those schools -- are not apt to turn anyone away because they themselves are rewarded with higher salaries based on the size of the schools that they administrate.

Finally, allowing illegal immigrants amnesty IS A DISSERVICE TO THESE FOREIGN NATIONS and the people who live there!

Let's take Mexico, our closest neighbor, for an example. By providing amnesty to 3 million illegal Mexicans, you are providing an escape for people who are not brave enough to confront the corruption in their own country. The people who flee corruption instead of fighting it are the least desirable as citizens.

By not forcing Mexican's to fight the bureaucracy and the corruption in their own country, you are denying them the opportunity to cry out to a sovereign and just God and allow Him to work in their lives in a mighty way. You are also denying them the appreciation of what it means to live free from tyranny and the price patriots need to pay so that others may live free from tyranny. Does this seem cruel to send them back to their own country with the expectation that many will die fighting for their own freedom? I suppose it is, but no more cruel than the price our citizens have had to pay for our freedom.

The money issue is secondary. Yes, God has blessed this nation. And Yes, in a way they are milking us of our hard earned financial reward by denying American's, mostly those on the lower income scale, available work and higher wages as businesses compete for fewer workers. But the real issue is the debt that cannot be replaced. That debt is American Blood!

Americans have fought hard and have given their lives so that their posterity could live in the freedom and prosperity that we have today. By allowing illegal immigrants to bypass this process, these politicians are disrespecting the American men and women have fought and died for this country. I doubt that our soldiers would have fought so bravely knowing that one day the rewards of their labors would be given to foreigners who neither worked for nor appreciated the price that they would pay.

Now comes another question, since they are illegal aliens, would they be part of the draft? And even if you could "round them up," would they be willing to fight and die for American principles? They are more likely to run away from that precious responsibility as they ran from their own country.

In a very real way, politicians who embrace amnesty are little more than prostitutes. Prostitutes are merely people who sell something that was never meant to be sold. In the case of these politicians, what was never meant to be sold is American blood!

Please understand that I have no problems with the many immigrants who come to this country through legal means and show themselves from the onset to be law-abiding citizens. But I do have a problem with individuals who bypass the laws of this country in order to advance their own wealth at the expense of the nation as a whole.

Some may accuse me of being an isolationist. Personally, I have no problems with that label. If isolationism is needed to ensure America's survival, then it is the best course of action.

I too desire to save the world; that is, if I could. But I can't. And neither can America. Only Jesus can save the world. There is more to meeting people's needs than just throwing money at them. They need to come to a point where they lean on a sovereign and just God. And sometimes, that means being broken first. There is no faster way of being broken than to fight the corruption in your own country.

What binds Americans together is not a race, color or creed, but the principles and the ideals of this nation. One of the primary principles and ideals of this nation is the rule of law. We should grant citizenship to only those who enter the country legally.
