RE: Chapter 13 Case No. 8:06-bk-00000-xxx
November 27, 2006
Honorable Judge Michael Williamson:
My apology for not being able to keep up with paperwork deadlines. I underwent abdominal surgery with a complication after filing and doing what I can to recover as quickly as possible. If possible, please allow us a little more time to complete the necessary paperwork.
To further complicate our situation, on November 5, 2006 the Hillsborough County School System’s payroll department for which we work was notified by fax of our November 3 bankruptcy filing. Verification that they received the necessary information was obtained through a payroll employee on Monday, November 6 and again by Anita Cooper the supervisor in charge of levies on Tuesday, November 7.
On or about November 6 I attempted to make a call the IRS in Kansas City and was routed to collections where the bankruptcy information was recorded in their computer system. I also sent written notification by mail to the local IRS office in Tampa located at 3848 W. Columbus Drive.
The automatic stay provision in connection with IRS levies has to date been ignored making it more difficult to remain focused on the completion of necessary elements of the bankruptcy process.
I am requesting that the Court bring maximum sanctions against those involved at the Hillsborough School District payroll department for violation of the automatic stay provision of the Federal Bankruptcy Law.
Most Sincerely,
Ed Patriot
