Pro Se Handbook for Idaho

The United States District Court for the District of Idaho, has made available for free the
"PRO SE HANDBOOK —The Manual for the "Litigant Filing Without Counsel" by Le Parker,
2nd edition 1997.

"...prepared this handbook specifically for the person who has chosen, for whatever reason, to represent himself/herself as a party to a lawsuit: the pro se litigant. The purpose of this handbook is to provide the pro se litigant with a practical and informative initial resource that will assist in the decision-making process and in the filing of a lawsuit when choosing not to retain the aid of a licensed attorney. Many reasons exist for filing a lawsuit pro se, for example, the litigant might feel that the cost of an attorney is prohibitive." (Introduction)

Federal Rules of Civil Procedure

Click here for a complete set of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCivP) and forms. You must follow these rules in your court case or the judge will sanction you by dismissing your case and maybe penalizing you monetarily. Once you get used to the rules, they are very easy to use, even though they change occasionally.
